At long last I have some specs available on the Fiat and Porsche. I have been asked by numerous people for these. All measurements were made using a video camera aimed at the speedo and tach.
Measurements for the Fiat 132, Porsche 911 and Ford Laser were made on 1 August 2002.
1975 Fiat 132GL. Lightly modified 2000cc Fiat twin cam. Running without nitrous oxide assist. Approximate weight including two people as tested with no gas cylinder and half a tank of fuel, 1270kg. More information.
1970 Posche 911S. Stock 2200cc motor. After-market exhaust. Tested with two people and half a tank of fuel. More information.
1984 Ford Laser. 1300cc motor. Tested with two people. No rev counter!
For 0-100kph run, the worn gearbox in the Porsche limited the speed of the 1st-2nd gear change. This was measured at 1.7s+/-0.1 - shifting any faster would cause excessive grinding!
